I've only ever had Playstations, but i don't want to just blindly buy another without doing my homework.

I don't like Xbox controllers. I've never played either the PS4 or XBone. I would blindly choose the PS4. Honestly the only thing that might sway me to Xbox is Forza, but it wouldn't be enough.

The XB1 has acquired the unusually long, miserable downloading and installing "feature" that the PS3 had. It comes down to if there are exclusive games on one of the platforms you really want. I own both, but my 360 earns the most hours still.

Neither one is really worth buying right now to me. I'm not making the jump until I can point to at least seven games on one platform that I absolutely have to play. And no, the ones that aren't out yet don't count. Not falling for that trick again...

The PS3 is technically a better console. That being said, I prefer the XBoxes controller. It may look chunky, but it's a lot smaller than pictures make it appear.

Also, Forza and the upcoming Halo remastered pack look incredible, and that alone is enough reason to get an XBox.
Also if you own a Windows phone or Windows computer there's all sorts of nifty bullshit you can do like right-clicking a movie and hitting "play on xbox" or using your computer/phone/tablet as a controller with a keyboard for netflix (which is what my xbox is used for 99% of the time), youtube, hulu, etc.

Not sure if the PS4 can do that; I've not had much time with one.

PS4 for me because I grew up on GT and the Sony MLB series. I think it's a good console. Depends whether or not you want GT or Forza.

But if I had to choose, I'd go Xbox only because I feel that the Forza series has more to offer compared to the GT series. Also, Halo MC collection/Halo 5.

The Xbox has the best racing game at the moment, but overall its PS4 for me. Better controller and better exclusives (for my tastes, others may disagree).

It all really depends. As of now id pick theXbone because the games. Forza Horizon and 5 and Sunset Overdrive for example amaze me. Also, i prefer the feel of the controller.

The PS4 may do a few things better but i dont feel the game choices that are exclusive are as solid yet.

Wait a little longer, they will be going cheap for the holidays. I'd go from there

The Xbox is my choice. I love the controllers, it has the best total selection of games at the moment. But both are good, you can't really go wrong with either one.

My setup is a 360 for solo, a Wii U for party games, and a PC for when I want to srs.

The only reason I would ever want an XBox One is because the version of minecraft on the XBox One is up-to-date with the PC version, and the abillity to use a controller, plus the UI (sooooo much easier to use...), draws me to it, not to mention the fact that my computer is a little broken. Gotta dust the damn thing out, 7 years of near-constant use takes its toll on things. TBH the XBO is incredibly silly, and everyone on the team that managed PR, DRM, and Kinect should be given a consolation prize of a pink slip, for sucking.

What's the argument against a PS4? Well, I can't say I'm interested. Because I'm not. Really, exclusive content is bullshit, and there's nothing that I would ever want that's exclusive on the PS4. Then again, other than Minecraft, there's not much else, though I think I might enjoy Forza. Though, for all you XBox One owners, one (get it?) question:

Does the XBox One support driving controllers with three pedals and feedback? Because that's what I would love.

You're right, Microsoft PR, the DRM debacle, the fact that Kinect was even part of this thing, the fact that because of Kinect and pricing concerns they had to underpower the box's hardware—all these things are despicable and the XBox division should undergo a re-org in order to have a brilliant Video Game Tsar and have everyone unified under him/her.

All that said, I still bought one. Why? Because of what you're saying. Exclusives have been on the side of XBox for a long, long time. So has the online interface. I'm intrigued by your Minecraft comment: is it really the same as PC now?

Here's another reason to own an XBone: racing. That's why you're here on this site, right? You like Cars Wot Go Fast, right? Playstation has, since the inception of the Xbox in 2001 or whenever, lagged behind. This continues unto this very day. Say what thou wilt about Forza, but it owns semi-sim market. And now it owns the open-world market with Horizon.

That clinched it for me.
